Tell Me a Story - Literary Art Show

Tell Me a Story is a themed exhibit that is a showcase featuring visual art, as inspired by literary art. The theme is up to the artist's interpretation, and he/she may submit any work as long as it fits somehow with the media, subject matter, or presentation of literary art. Some examples include, but are not limited to: an art piece inspired by a scene from your favorite book, an art piece inspired by one of your favorite authors, an art piece inspired by your favorite poem, or an art piece about the importance of reading in general. All fine art media is eligible, including but not limited to: painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, collage, digital art, potter, glass, metal, wood, and sculpture. This exhibit will be on display in the Depot's Skylight Gallery.

As long as the submitted artwork meets the criteria specified in the show prospectus and presentation guidelines, work will be accepted at intake and included in the exhibit. Please read the entire prospectus for complete information.

Submission Deadline: Monday, June 22nd (by 5pm)

Intake Days: Friday, June 26th (12pm to 3pm) and Saturday, June 27th (10am to 1pm)

Show Calendar: Tueday, June 30th through Thursday, August 13th

Reception: Friday, July 10th (6pm to 9pm)

$15 entry fee for members / $20 entry fee for non-members. Up to 1 entry per artist. Artists 18 years of age or older may submit artwork. Eligibility may be given to some artists 16-18 years of age; please email us for details.
