Description
United in Art: Celebrating America's 250 Years Exhibit is a themed showcase featuring visual art, as inspired by the United States Semiquincentiennial, which is the 250th anniversary of the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence. The theme is up to the artist's interpretation, and he/she may submit any work as long as it fits somehow with the media, subject matter, or presentation of the 250th. Some examples include, but are not limited to: an art piece inspired by the time period during and/or the actual signing of the Declaration of Independence, an art piece about a significant historical event in the United States, or an art piece about how art has played a major role in the culture of the United States over the last 250 years. This exhibit will be on display in the Depot's Center Gallery.
As long as the submitted artwork meets the criteria specified in the show prospectus and presentation guidelines, work will be accepeted at intake and included in the exhibit. Please read the entire prospectus for complete information.
Submission Deadline: Monday, June 22nd (by 5pm)
Intake Days: Friday, June 26th (12pm to 3pm) and Saturday, June 27th (10am to 1pm)
Show Calendar: Tuesday, June 30th to Thursday, August 13th
Reception: Friday, July 10th (6pm to 9pm)
$15 entry fee for members / $20 entry fee for non-members. Only 1 entry per artist. Artists 18 years of age or older may apply. Eligibility may be given to some artists 16-18 years of age; please email us for details.
